‘Mockingbird’ screenwriter dies

(CNN) — Horton Foote, the house Prize- and Academy Award-winning scriptwriter of “To Kill a Mockingbird,” has died, according to officials at the Hartford Stage antiquity in Connecticut, where he was engaged on a production.
